Hey there bumblebees,
a few months ago a girl from Instagram asked me, how I manage to maintain or loose weight, and let me tell you one thing: I first of all did not manage anything. I simply watch out not to eat to much – well an app does that. I still eat everything I want to, but I do not overeat to often.
Our bodies were made to eat seasonally. Hundreds of years ago humens used to eat, what was there. In summers we ate everything, cause everything was there. As soon as the winter came, we did not have everything. We had potatoes, berries, dried fruits and some meat or food, which was still left over from summer and not rotten by then. Nature pretty much managed our weight. Nowadays we sit the whole day – well I do – and are able to get any food we want at any time of the year. But our brains never got used to balance out, what mother nature did before. So our brain says: Eat everything there is, you never know, when winter comes!
So what I did: I got myself an app called Lifesum. Lifesum is nothing special, I can simply track everything I eat with it. This way I teach my brain: “Here you go, 1500 calories is absolutely enough for you.” Well right now, I only eat 1200 calories until I reach my goal of 58kilos. And that is only 2 kilos away.
At the same time, my trainer at the gym analyzed my body and told me, that I can only get rid of my big butt – he didn´t say that. It´s only how I see it, basically my butt is normal. – when my body fat goes down to 23%. I have 25% right now, which is a good normal. That does not mean, that I need to eat less, it only means, that I should transform my fat into muscles. Women are normally very afraid of muscles. But muscles are something wonderful, as they increase you metabolic rate at rest.
So since now one week, I lift those weights, and my next goal is to chin the bar. It is the best workout. Chinning the bar works every muscle in your body and makes you lean. I watched a girl at the gym with an amazingly toned body chinning the bar, and she rocked. And she still looks like a girl! 😉
